our new nameWelcome to amplifyme, the rebranded Project: Think Different site. Why change our name after all this time? When the organization was originally founded, Project: Think Different was used as a placeholder for a future name and it stuck. The problem was, there were always challenges around this naming concept. Most importantly—it didn't explain what we do. It couldn't stand on its own without a lengthy message that described our purpose and vision. It made us sound small—which we were at the time, but now we've grown to support activities well beyond downtown Boston. It sounded temporary—what happens when the 'project' is completed? We worked in schools, yet our name wasn't grammatically correct. Teachers often asked why we weren't called Project: Think Differently. We believe amplifyme has a much better ability to stand on its own, immediately engaging the audience and communicating where our focus lies. |
